What is Hands of Healing for the Nations (HHN)?

HHN is a ministry of Advancing Native Missions using medicine as a tool to help in ministering the gospel to indigenous people groups around the world. We do this in a variety of ways:

HHN may be invited by an indigenous evangelist to hold medical clinics in an area not previously open to his ministry. Just as Jesus often touched and healed people's bodies before their hearts were open to hear his words, so medical care can be used today in the same way.
HHN may use medical clinics to minister to people who have no local access to medical care.
HHN will often team up with ANM's Operation Barnabas International (OBI), offering medical care as we also spiritually strengthen these indigenous ministers. Since the central mission of ANM focuses on bringing the gospel to unreached people groups, medical care is never the ultimate end of helping these people; rather, it is a tool toward leading them to the gospel.
HHN raises funds for medicines and supplies to be shipped to indigenous medical ministries associated with ANM.
HHN cares for the health of the indigenous workers when they come to the ANM home office.

What is the model for HHN?

Jesus' own ministry style is ours; “And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:35-36) So medical missions is always both a word and deed approach to ministry.

Doctors & Dentists
Nurses, both RN and LPN
Health care workers of all types
Non-medical people with a heart for service and encouragement

Where have HHN trips gone?

Bolivia- to bring medical assistance to rescued street children under the indigenous ministry of Hogar Alalay
Peru- along with an OBI team to bring medical care to indigenous pastors and their families under the ministry of Segadores Missionary Movements. Other trips have gone to unreached jungle areas of Peru.
India- to bring medical camps to the remote Saura tribe in Andhra Pradesh under the fruitful ministry of Narayan Paul of New Life Association
Bulgaria- to bring medical camps along side ministries among Gypsies and Muslims, under the leadership of Pastor Yordan Ivanov
Philippines- to bring medical clinics to the poor people of Bohol, in partnership with Dr. Linda Balugo of Philippines Gospel Association
Chad- to scout out how HHN could encourage the fruitful work of Pastor Ngarndeye Bako with Chad For Christ among widows, orphans, and unreached people groups
