Advancing Native Missions
for a witness to all the nations
FEATURED THIS WEEK
OBI is currently praying for guidance regarding our OBI conferences for 2012. Each conference costs approximately $4,500 and we are actively praying for God’s provision so we can invite more than 100 native missionaries to come and be blessed by the ANM team. Our Tentative Schedule for 2012: April – Tanzania and Togo; August - Mongolia; October - India

Operation Barnabas International FAQs

FAQs:   1. How many OBI conferences have been conducted? OBI began in 1994 and since then has sponsored more than 200 conferences and served more than 20,000 native workers.   2. Do the native missionaries have to pay to come to the conferences? No. OBI raises 100% of the budget to rent a venue and equipment, as well as to lodge the atendees in a clean and safe environment, feed them better food than they are used to eating, etc.   3. If the native missionaries do not pay to come to the conference, how do you raise the money to sponsor the conferences? By faith we trust God to speak to the hearts of American believers to sponsor a missionary ($45...

Sponsor an OBI Conference

The OBI staff is planning conferences in various corners of the globe to "refresh the tired feet" of at least 2,000 indigenous workers.  The total cost of this ministry will amount to $90,000 or $45 per attendee.  Many have been faithful in their prayers and giving.  We need more individuals, churches, and businesses to invest in this strategic ministry of encouraging those on the front lines... reaching the unreached!  Will you consider joining hands with us through your giving, either as a one-time gift or as a monthly donor?  Consider putting OBI in the annual church budget.  NOW is the time to so something for eternity - to lay up treasures in heaven, where moth...

The Miracle of Tigania

THE MIRACLE OF TIGANIA! I stood in worship… hands outstretched, thoughts running through my mind and tears running down my cheeks. Kenya, the second highest mountain on the continent, with its craggy peaks reaching over 17,000 feet into the African sky.  I had been here seven years before.  That was the beginning of the miracle.  Here is the story… In 2004, I had been part of a ministry team conducting a three-day Operation Barnabas conference in Meru for the purpose of encouraging indigenous pastors.  The coordinator...

Pastors

Operation Barnabas International (OBI) is the arm of ANM that is dedicated to a two fold task. The first task being “Refreshing tired feet.” This aspect is to help with the encouraging of our overseas brethren. Secondly, our task is “fitting them with sandals.” This means helping our partners meet new “friends” who will advocate in prayer and financially support for them in the future. These are accomplished, primarily, by bringing teams of 3-5 pastors/teachers from the U.S. overseas for two weeks to conduct two conferences. We speak at 3-3 ½ day conferences and then visit the actual ministries who serve among the often overwhelmed and underserved. OBI also seeks to maintain ongoing encouragement of our native missionaries through Ministry Mates Matter, a ministry dedicated to encouraging the wives of our ministry partners, monthly resources sent to partners to encourage them in the work, research of potential new partners among unreached people groups, etc.
